Champedro Gold

Champedro Gold is given to the best tasting and unique champagnes, and my top recommendations. I love these:

Didier Ducos | Noir Absolu

Enjoying: Very light delicate yellow with very small sharp bubbles. Nice balance of fruit and flowers with a citrus note and apple.

Celebrating: 13th wedding anniversary.

Didier-Ducos | Millesime 2012 Brut

Enjoying: The champagne has a light lemon color with lots of bubbles. Fresh citrus fruits and pear hit the nose with a sweet buttery cream taste that makes me want more. A subtle tartiness rounds it out to a smooth finish. Definitely something I would enjoy again.

Celebrating: Lake House Family Vacation to celebrate summer break with the boys. Hooked up new Thule aero bars and the biggest box they make, the motion xxl to the roof to do a dry run for our East Coast Road Trip.

Didier-Ducos Fil | Millésime 2011

Enjoying: Light golden yellow color; almost see-through with small bubbles. Scent off fresh green apples is followed by strawberry tartness and some acidity that cleans up nicely. Sweetness in the end like honey. Smooth champagne; as it should since it's 10 years old.

Celebrating: Celebrating 10 years in Charleston (Aug 9).  Getting home safely after 2 weeks in Seattle. New golf cart. 10 year anniversary of our house in Mt Pleasant.

Elise Dechannes  | Rosé De Saignée

Enjoying: Really tasty; cherry, apple, honey finish, nose is good - clean finish. Would buy again.

Celebrating: Family pizza night. Had it with homemade bison burgers and some Marco's pizza - legit dinner.

Gimonnet-Oger  | Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs

Enjoying: Nose of apple and pear; crisp lighter color. Tastes sweeter than others, caramel smooth finish. Had it with bison meat and brie. I get a little grapefruit, and it reminds me of eating grapefruit with sugar as a kid.

Celebrating: Halloween with Friends.

Jean Baillette-Prudhomme  | Extra Brut Reserve Premier Cru

Enjoying: Medium green yellow and pink color accentuated by medium bubbles. Brie, toast, and apple with a subtle note of honeydew and honey. Pretty tasty so far. Not very sweet - I like it.

Celebrating: Milestone toward having enough cash to pay off the mortgage.

Jean Baillette-Prudhomme  | Memoris Premier Cru

Enjoying: Super clean finish through and through; a little pear and citrus.

Celebrating: Father's day 2020.

Jean Baillette-Prudhomme  | Premier Cru Brut Nature

Enjoying: Light yellow with small bubbles. Smooth and not sweet profile with fresh fruit notes of pear and apple, a little acidity and maybe a little toastiness.

Celebrating: It's Friday; I had a mid-day date with Linda, and it was fun.  Doing pool time and finishing a pretty good week at work.  Feeling good about my decision to be remote and work for a company that will support that.

Lanson | Le Black Brut

Enjoying: Light green yellow color with medium bubbles. Fresh cut apple and green fruit with a fresh finish of toast.

Celebrating: Celebrating life with friends in Omaha at M's Pub for dinner and Cinco de Mayo.

Mathieu-Gandon  | Millésime 2006

Enjoying: Light gold color; delicate bubbles and a nose of fresh green apple. Tastes a little toasty and it's really nice; first impressions is that I'd get another bottle or two.

Celebrating: My birthday.

Moet & Chandon  | Ice Imperial

Enjoying: My favorite to drink pool-side on hot days with especially large-sized ice; could add basil, mint, or cucumber to make it even fresher.

Celebrating: Traveling the world. Going to Playa del Carmen Paradisus and really enjoying this chilled on hot summer days.

Nicolas Feuillatte | Reserve Exclusive Brut

Enjoying: Light apple color with big bubbles hit the glass at first. Apple, pear, honey hit the palate with a smooth toastiness at the end.

Celebrating: Celebrating Linda coming back from Nashville. Almost the best day of my life celebration but I travel Monday.

Pascal Redon | Brut Tradition Premier Cru

Enjoying: Light yellow and green, fresh apple nose. Medium bubbles toasty and cheesy taste.

Celebrating: Amy and Chris come to visit Charleston

Pascal Redon | Millesime 2012 Nature Premier Cru

Enjoying: Apple golden color with small bubbles. Fresh like a cold of spring water and tart. A refreshing champagne to eat pizza. Green apple acidity is nice and I would buy it again.

Celebrating: Lost 20+ lbs and upgraded the garage and the golf cart sound systems.

Philippe Gonet | Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru Millesime (2006)

Enjoying: Small to medium bubbles, rich gold color, the bubles are jumping off the glass - very fun.  Nose of bread, low floral, medium minerality, and fresh lemon.  Tasting the lemon bread with minerality, a great balance of acidity and lemon notes with minerality.   Lasting mineral finish. Definitely something I'd enjoy again for special occassions.

Celebrating: My 40th birthday, so I got a large format 1.5L bottle to share..
